Who Needs a Schengen Visa from Dubai?

If you are a UAE resident but not a citizen of a Schengen country, you must apply for a Schengen Visa before traveling.

This rule applies to:

• Expatriates living in Dubai or any other emirate
• Foreign residents holding a valid UAE residence visa — including employment, investor, or dependent visas

Exception:

UAE citizens can enjoy visa-free entry for short stays related to tourism, business, family visits, or transit under the EU–UAE visa waiver agreement.

• Travel Medical Insurance: Travel Medical Insurance for the entirety of the visit to cover costs due to medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death.
• Flight Ticket: Flight Ticket for both ways along with hotel and other itinerary based reservations 
• Bank Statements: Bank Statements of the past six months printed and stamped by the bank(Internet extracts without a stamp will not be accepted).
• Non-Objection Letter from Employer / Sponsor:
  The No Objection Letter should state things such as date of recruitment, position, employment status, length of contract and salary.
• Mandatory Additional Documents:
  • For minors: Birth certificate and consent letter signed by both parents.
  • For spouses: Marriage certificate and a passport copy of the sponsoring spouse.
